Compliments of the season to you all. I trust everyone is well and if not, please hang in there, things will certainly get better.
Omo Ghetto the Saga
I mentioned in my last Nollywood on Netflix post that I’m looking forward to Funke Akindele’s Omo Ghetto the Saga. Well, the wait is over as it is scheduled to start showing in cinemas from the 25th of December 2020.
To celebrate the new movie, a premiere was held on the 21st of December 2021 at Ebony Live Place.
The star-studded movie is a sequel to the 2010 Omo Ghetto movie by Funke Akindele. It follows the life of Lefty and her friends, Nikky, Busty and Chummy Choko in Askamaya Ghetto. Funke Akindele reprises her role as Lefty, a twin separated from her twin sister at birth. They got reunited twenty years later but both are living two completely different lives. Whilst Lefty is a ghetto kid and leader of a notorious female gang, her twin – Ayobami is a pretty girl raised in affluence but with serious anger issues.
The theme of the night was ‘Ghetto, Fabulous and Colourful’ and it was interesting to see what the actors and other guests came up with.
I love when guests stick to the dress code and the outfits at this premiere were pretty impressive.
Here are my favourites of the night;
This next one is one of my favourite of the night, talk about ghetto fabulous 😍
Stylists should never out dress their clients. Medlin Boss is clearly a pro in this business as she styled a few Ghetto fabolous ladies and still managed to turn up looking fab without out shining her clients. 👌🏾
Couples that slay together …
Hope you enjoyed the Ghetto inspired fabolous fashion. Which was your favourite? Please share, even if it is not part of my selection.
Thank you.
