No, it’s not a Big Brother reunion, it’s a movie Premiere! Oops🤐. Lool, it certainly felt that way as there were almost more Big brother alumnae than actors in attendance. But We’re not complaining, the more the merrier – especially when the fashion is good.
Anyway, believe me, it was not my intention to bring another fashion post, but seeing the looks from the La Femme Anjola premiere, I just had to! The guests put their best foot forward as they posed in top-grade fashion. I hope I have been able to convince you guys on why I just had to post this. It was too good to view alone, it’s as simple as that 😋.
Lets dig in then…
La Femme Anjola is a pyschological thriller that tells the story of a young male stock broker whose life is turned upside down when he falls for a femme fatale married to a wealthy gangster. The film was directed by Mildred Okwo, and has been described as a ‘film noir’ meaning dark thriller. It’ll be interesting to see how they pull this off, I certainly am rooting for them 👍🏽.
Now lets get on with the fashion shall we. ‘Masked Monotone Couture’ was the theme of the night. Monotone can be tricky to execute as it could come out garish. Lets see how the attendees fared…
I’m starting with the belle du moment, the beautiful Nollywood Actress and star of the Movie -Rita Dominic. I won’t say this is my best look of the night neither will I say it’s the best I’ve seen Rita Dominic, what I’ll say is the Lady looks damn good. She interpreted the monotone theme to the latter, even her hair was not left out of the fun. Love it
Always a stunner, Mo Abudu never dissapoints as she’s always decked in classy top fashion. She stuns yet again in this crimson piece from Lanre Dasilva Ajayi.
Shaffy Bello is always a delight on the red carpet, she knows it as she gets it right over and over again. She certainly did again on this ocassion 💯.
Ini Edo looks replescent in this attire.
Certainly the best i’ve seen on Nengi.
This is nit my favorite look, but inasmuch as I am nit a fan of this attire, I must admit she pulled off the ‘Monotone Theme’.
Cee-c sure does know how to make a statement on the redcarpet. She is becoming a favourite on redcarpets and she made a captivating appearance in this purple piece by Erica Moore. Dear Ceec, please work harder on your poses…
Another Big Brother Alumni and regular slayer on the Red carpet, Mercy Eke stuns again, this time in Ceoluminee
Yet another Big Brother Alumni, Dorathy dazzles in green. Dorathy was styled by MedlinBoss
Toke Makinwa never dissapoints on the red carpet and what a come back this is as we have not seen her on any red carpet in recent times.
Linda is always a darling on the redcarpet! She showed up looking like a surprise package! The only problem is were not surprised as we are used to her slaying 💗
She styles the socialites and top celebrities in Nigeria. I love how this talented designer interpreted the monotone theme, I’m all for the pink pastel 😍.
When the dress code is Mono tone I definitely will expect to see colours, colours and more colours! Latasha shied away from the vibrant colours though and showed up in this black outfit. I like it.
Men in Bronze
Only Four guys stood out for me and two of them are in the top 5 Best dressed men in Nigeria (arguably) so its no surprise they killed this theme.
Ebuka is no newbie to best dressed lists in Nigeria. His love for fashion is an open secreat as is his willingness to try new styles. He is actually my best dressed from this event, oh yes he tumped the ladies (in m opinion).
Another guy is on my top 3 list, Taymesan is also a fashion enthusiat so seeing him in top, daring fashion comes a s no surprise. I love this look.
Blood is on the red carpet and Nonso Bassey brought it there 🤩. Very good monotone Look.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my selection.
